The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Boys in grades 1-5 can join a Cub Scout Pack. Groups meet afterschool in over 50 locations across Racine County. Boys grades 6-12 can join a Boy Scout Troop. Boys and Girls grades 9-12 (up to age 21) can join Venturing, Sea Scouting, and Career Exploring. Groups meet across Racine County on a regular basis.

Racine Public Library offers Preschool Storytime, a 30-minute storytime recommended for children ages three to five who are able to participate independently. Longer stories and activities are introduced. Parents/guardians are expected to remain outside the storytelling room, but in the Youth Services Department.

Each camp experience at Camp Alice Chester, located in East Troy, includes activities such as swimming, campfires, crafts, sports, nature, all-camp games, cookouts, prescheduled field trips and special activities celebrating the 100th birthday of Girl Scouting. Most sessions range from 1 to 5 nights long. Bus transportation to and from camp is available for select sessions for an additional fee.
