The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Boys in grades 1-5 can join a Cub Scout Pack. Groups meet afterschool in over 50 locations across Racine County. Boys grades 6-12 can join a Boy Scout Troop. Boys and Girls grades 9-12 (up to age 21) can join Venturing, Sea Scouting, and Career Exploring. Groups meet across Racine County on a regular basis.

10 Weeks of Summer Fun June 11, 2012-August 17, 2012 Transportation will be provided to and from Smolenski Park for children dropped off at the Downtown location and children attending summer school during regular camp hours only. Extended Care will have to be picked up and dropped off at Smolenski Park. Parent Orientation on Friday, June 8th from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Racine Family YMCA, 725 Lake Avenue.

Each camp experience at Camp Alice Chester, located in East Troy, includes activities such as swimming, campfires, crafts, sports, nature, all-camp games, cookouts, prescheduled field trips and special activities celebrating the 100th birthday of Girl Scouting. Most sessions range from 1 to 5 nights long. Bus transportation to and from camp is available for select sessions for an additional fee.

The Racine Zoo is once again offering camp opportunities for children 3 years old through 6th grade the chance to learn about animals and their environment through our weekly camps. Each camp is age-appropriate and enrollment is limited.
